The Xiaomi YU7 is now available in a hardcore flagship spec called the GT and an affordable spec known simply as Standard, sacrificing engine power and battery range for a wallet-friendly price tag. Sales are already ongoing with the Standard version available from 233,500 Yuan ($34,365) and the fully-trimmed GT coming in at 389,900 Yuan ($57,382).
Like we reported before, the YU7 GT is a dual-motor electric supercar sending 1,003 PS (990 hp / 740 kW) to the wheels. Its innovative e-motors rev up to 28,000 RPM, letting it zap from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.92 seconds and ultimately reach 300 km/h (186 mph). A full charge takes it 705 kilometers (438 miles), CLTC-rated.
On the technical side of things, drivers can look forward to carbon-ceramic brakes with Akebono six-piston calipers, adjustable air-ride suspension, and an electronic rear diff lock. A dedicated Track Package is also available for 40,000 Yuan ($5,887).
In turn, the Xiaomi YU7 Standard makes do with one motor rated at 320 PS (316 hp / 235 kW) and up to 643 kilometers (400 miles) of range. It also ditches the expensive air suspension for a simpler adaptive setup. The IT-giant-turned-automaker proudly claims that it managed to produce an SUV that costs less than the Tesla Model Y in China while having considerably more range.
