Novelties
Russia-based automaker Ulyanovskiy Avtomobilniy Zavod (UAZ) has opened a branch in the United States, which Bremach Inc. will operate under the “Bremach” brand name. Pre-orders are already running.
The company will be importing the iconic Russian off-roader UAZ Patriot and its pickup truck variant. These will be badged as Bremach Taos and Brio, respectively. Both vehicles are currently obtaining all the necessary certificates in North America and running road tests.
Trim levels remain to be fully disclosed, but the Status trim comes with a 2.7-liter engine rated at 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Pre-ordering the SUV is available starting at $26,405; the truck version is not available yet, but is expected to come at a $1,400 premium. This would make it more affordable than the $33,900 Honda Ridgeline and the $28,940 Ford F-150.
