The 2026 Geely Preface takes advantage of a mild power boost and a standard automatic transmission instead of preselector DCT, AutoHome.cn reports.
The exterior stays almost the same despite numerous tiny design tweaks. The radiator grille, both bumpers and the wheels have all been revised, the headlights and taillights have received new light patterns, but you’ll have to know where to look to spot the differences. A rather compact spoiler appeared on the trunk lid in the back, and the brake calipers now sport a red finish.
In its CDM spec, the new Geely Preface ships with a 2.0-liter turbo engine capable of 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission from Aisin – same as in the Geely Monjaro – carries the momentum to the wheels. Going from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 6.5 seconds.
AutoHome points out that one of the biggest changes was made to the electronics on board. The new Preface runs on superior hardware that Geely claims should make it safer and more efficient. For example, there are as many as 34 active safety features available.
