Underground Racing rolls out world’s first 2,000-HP Lambo Aventador

Underground Racing is renowned for its extreme twin-turbo conversions, but their latest project is still something entirely special. The team managed to squeeze nearly three times as much power out of a stock Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

Even in its OEM form, the SVJ is a fearsome beast armed with twelve cylinders, 770 PS (759 hp / 566 kW), and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. The tuned example shown here looks almost stock, just blacked out with matching aftermarket wheels from HRE Performance. The insides, however, are largely new. This includes the pistons and the connecting rods, cylinder heads, filters, fuel system components, injection, and exhaust. The latter now resembles a flamethrower, so the driver should probably take care not to park next to anything flammable.

When filled with racing fuel, the supercar delivers a staggering 2,000 horsepower (1,500 kilowatts) to the wheels, which translates into 2,300-2,500 hp at the crank. Can you imagine it?
