2020 Mazda CX-4 facelift is all about the looks

Based on the same platform as the CX-5, the Mazda CX-4 coupe/SUV has been in production since 2016. Based on these recent patent bureau photos, the model will be getting a facelift soon.

The update bring along restyled bumpers and radiator grille, as well as a new taillight pattern. Interior shots aren’t available yet, and the tech stays unchanged in the 2020 version. This means two gasoline engines, a 2.0-liter one with 158 hp (117 kW) and a 2.5-liter one with 192 hp (143 kW). The former is FWD-only and offers a choice between six-speed manual and automatic transmission. The latter supports AWD and comes bundled with the automatic.

Sales start later this year.
