Changan C798 presents interior

Changan has posted a couple of images showing the cabin of its next mid-size five-seat SUV, the Qiyuan (Nevo) C798. The model is scheduled to go on sale in early 2025 as a plug-in hybrid with no other options.

As you can see, the layout with its level front panel, large display in the middle and a D-shaped steering wheel is typical of most crossover SUVs on the market of China today. The C798 attempts to look new with a HUD instead of traditional dash gauges and ultra-comfortable front seats. Despite being 4.8 meters (187.5 inches) long, it only has two seat rows, so rear bench occupants should be getting plenty of legroom.

Trim options include a panoramic roof with a glass surface of 1.2 square meters (12.9 sq. ft.), massage-enabled seats, a 16-channel audio system, and two wireless charging pads.

The C798 will reach the showrooms early next year with a 1.5-liter engine rated at 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW) assisted by an electric motor for an additional 224 PS (221 hp / 165 kW). Sticking with the standard 21.5-kWh battery pack will give you 95 km (59 miles) of range, while opting for a more expensive 31.7-kWh pack will let you cover 165 km (102.5 miles) even on an empty tank.

Prices are expected to start from 200,000 Yuan, but this is not official.
