This used BMW is Russia’s most expensive, but is it worth the asking price?

A rare BMW M5 sedan is up for grabs in Moscow right now, its owner claiming there is no other car like it available in Russia. Despite being seven years old with 37,000 km (23,000) under its belt, it commands a price of ₽25 million, or $347,000 USD, making it by far the costliest Bavarian vehicle in the country.

The reason? It is allegedly one out of 300 units of the 5 Series 30 Jahre Edition, a limited series celebrating 30 years of the M5. Furthermore, the seller quotes a local BMW dealership saying only one such car was ever sold in Russia. It also had only one owner throughout its life and never changed hands.

At the time of its debut, the 30 Jahre was the German automaker’s most powerful production car ever thanks to its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 boosted by 40 horsepower to 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW). As a result, it could sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under four seconds. Other factory mods included a 10mm (0.4”) reduction in ride height, an active electronic M differential, rich fit and finish, and an exclusive Frozen Dark exterior.

Per the seller, the car was used exclusively in summertime and kept in a heated parking lot the rest of the time. It was also maintained at OEM dealerships and has no signs of wear.
