Manthey’s Porsche 911 GT3 RS body kit makes a ton of downforce

The dedicated Porsche tuners over at Manthey Racing have completed another one of their amazing track-focused builds. It’s dedicated to a Porsche 911 (992) GT3 RS this time around and manages to make it faster without any engine mods.

For starters, the rear window got replaced with a lightweight carbon-fiber panel sporting a fin not unlike that on the Porsche 963. It serves a dual purpose, deflecting hot air from the engine bay while improving cornering.

A new bumper with an impressively large splitter appeared at the front end, the wheel arches were complemented with Gurney flaps, and the rear end got a bulky diffuser along with a humongous wing. Aerodynamic rear wheel hubcaps rounded off the sporty look.

In its production guise, the GT3 RS is already a highly capable track weapon, hitting the asphalt with 860 kilograms (1,900 lbs) of downforce at higher speeds. Manthey’s body kit surpasses even this number, reportedly making over 1,000 kilos (2,205 lbs) at 285 km/h (177 mph). No wonder it comes bundled with a high-end braking system upgrade.

Even without engine tweaks, Manthey kits never come cheap. This one is no exception with an asking price of €76,911.
