Feast your eyes on this amazing 800-PS Nissan GT-R from Down Under

Andrew Hannason, from Australia, wanted an entirely special Nissan R33 GT-R for himself, so he built one and is now looking to part with the result for a cool €375,000.

As you may remember, Nissan produced two main special editions of the R33 Godzilla: the N1 and the 400R. The former came out in the ‘90s in a production run of 87 units. The latter enjoyed a batch of 99 units, but we are told that only 44 of those have survived to this day. In other words, there is plenty of exclusivity to be found in building a restomod inspired by one of them – let alone both, which is the case at hand.

The project car is fittingly called the Nissan GT-R 400 N1. It features a unique exterior, weighs 30 kilos (66 pounds) less than stock and pumps out 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) from its original inline-six. To put things into perspective, the original had half that amount of power at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW).

As one would expect from a build on this scale, everything has been optimized for the new power target. This included the steering, the suspension, the transmission with the clutch, and the braking system. The interior was borrowed from an original late-era R33 model, and the driver was given a long shifter to better row the five available gears.

Right now, Andrew Hannason is perfectly happy driving his restomod himself, but he will consider selling it for the amount mentioned above.
