A stylish retro camper based on a 1968 Chevrolet C20 CST cropped up on Bring-a-Trailer earlier this week. The bidding only reached $61,020, landing below reserve.
Designed to accommodate up to four adults, the camping truck houses two large beds, a fully stocked kitchen, a shower cabin and a WC. It also offers air conditioning and central heating, making it viable around the whole year. The listing admits that some of the equipment had degraded over the past six decades, so repairs and replacements were made as necessary.
Power for the C20 CST still comes from its original 6.5-liter V8 rated at 220 PS (217 hp / 162 kW). The transmission is three-speed automatic. With slightly above 155,000 kilometers (specifically 96,787 miles) on the counter, it’s not exactly “as-new”, but reportedly still in fine condition.
