Japanese tuning company AutoExe has been producing affordable styling kits for Mazda vehicles for a while now. Its KF-07 kit for the CX-5 crossover came out a year ago (see video), and has now been complemented with another one, known as the KM-07.
The new package is available in two flavors: standard (city style) and Active Xross (AX, off-road style). The former is shown here on a black CX-5. There’s a front bumper extension with an integrated splitter, new side skirts, a roof spoiler in the back and a rear bumper extension with a cutout for the dual tailpipes. Everything is fabricated from simple plastic, but you can opt for faux-carbon window shrouds and door handle trims if that’s your preference.
In turn, the white SUV showcases the tuner’s AX package for those dreaming about off-road adventures. It includes faux-aluminum skid plates for both ends, rally-style mud flaps, decals for the rear doors and the hood, and a new front bumper complete with extra LED DRLs. Fender flare extensions are also available.
AutoExe lists the KM-07 at the equivalent of U.S. $2,800. The KM-07 AX starts from $3,200. Chassis and powertrain upgrades are expected to go on sale soon, but you’ll have to find a way to buy them through a Mazda dealership in Japan because there are no exports.
