BMW prepares an art car parade
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Art Car project, BMW will be touring Europe with a mobile exhibition of these vehicles, ranging from new to vintage.
The company’s first art car in history was a 3.0 CSL coupe commissioned by Alexander Calder from the United States. The company proceeded to deliver 20 more such vehicles over the next 50 years. The latest came out last year. It was an M Hybrid V8 racecar decorated by Julie Mehretu.
