800 PS & 2300 Nm: Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel doesn’t get much scarier than this

What you see here is a tuned Dodge Ram 2500 pickup commissioned by James Warren in the Rollin Smoke Diesel workshop, Texas, back in 2016. And the word ‘tuned’ doesn’t even begin to do it justice, believe us.

As you may remember, the truck comes equipped with a six-cylinder turbo diesel engine rated at 350 hp (261 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque, which already makes it more than adequately powered. However, the tuner took things to an entirely new level by upgrading the entire powertrain from the ground up.

The cylinder heads, cylinders themselves, pistons, the crankshaft, the turbines, the ECU – all of the above and much more flew out in favor of higher-end, higher-cost components. In the end, the output amounted to a stellar 800 hp (590 kW) along with mind-numbing 2,300 Nm (1,700 pound-feet) of torque. The tuner does mention that special diesel fuel is required for these numbers, but… wow. Wow all the same.

Another major upgrade came in the form of the RevMax Signature Series 850 transmission – one of the precious few designs capable of withstanding that kind of torque without falling apart. Further highlights included an Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 kit for the rear axle, coilovers for the front axle, Bilstein shocks for both, and 22-inch Renegade forged rims wrapped in 33-inch Toyo Open Country AT2 tires.

How do you like this off-road missile?
