UK-spec Range Rover Sport turns off the lights

Land Rover has presented a new trim version of the Range Rover Sport called Black Edition. It does away with all bright and shiny trim bits, but otherwise remains identical to the SV spec. Prices will start from £155,000 when it goes on sale in the UK in late 2025.

The body, the hood cover, the 23-inch forged wheels with brake calipers and the exhaust tips are all finished in a shade called Narvick Black. The interior continues the same theme with matte-black perforated leather seats and a glossy black dashboard.

This version of the SUV ships exclusively with a 4.4-liter BMW V8 under the hood rated at 635 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. It needs 3.6 seconds to go from standstill to 96.6 km/h (60 miles per hour).

At the same time, Land Rover has lifted the shipping restrictions it had in place for the standard Range Rover Sport SV. Since introducing the new SV in the spring of 2023, the company has only sold it fully loaded with options, and even then in very small batches. Now, the SUV is finally available for ordering in most countries around the world starting from the rough equivalent of £140,000 (U.S. $190,300).
