Mercedes E-Class pricing revealed, starts from U.S. $55,300

The new Mercedes E-Class is set to start shipping by the end of the year, including the AMG line. Customers will be able to select from a rich assortment of options, including sedan/saloon, estate/wagon, coupe and convertible.

The base spec – E350 – comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of 255 hp (190 kW). The rear-wheel drive version of it is the cheapest new E-Class on the market at just $55,300. Throw in another $2,500 if you would rather drive AWD.

The $63,000 E450 sedan has AWD already included in the base spec, and uses a 3.0-liter hybridized powertrain with 362 hp (270 kW). A coupe with the same specs will set you back $66,000, a wagon $68,650, and a convertible commands a $7,000 premium over the sedan.

The AMG E53 packs 429 hp (321 kW) of turbocharged power and can be obtained from $74,950. The range-topping E63S is $113,500 and above that.
