MG teases S5 EV for Europe

The MG S5 EV is a crossover-shaped electric vehicle for the EU market with Chinese roots.

The two teaser pics posted by the automaker only reveal the rear end, but it’s not like we don’t know what car this really is. MG introduced an SUV called the ES5 in China last October (see video), and it looked almost completely the same.

All specifications should be revealed in the next few weeks. For reference, the Chinese ES5 was 4,476 mm (175 inches) long and had a single e-motor on the rear axle with 170 PS (168 hp / 125 kW). We wouldn’t be surprised to see the same exact specs on its European counterpart.
