Ford F-150 gets a body kit and an engine upgrade

The Ford F-150 pickup truck is a veteran of the automotive world. It first entered the market in the faraway 1948, and the current generation is 13th! And it’s a good car in its own right, but the manufacturer has been pursuing a trend towards miniature engines lately. The truck can still be purchased with a five-liter engine, but there is little doubt that it will eventually be phased out by smaller turbo’d engines.

This is exactly the issue car tuner Paxpower wanted to address in their latest release. The team took the top-spec 2018 Ford F-150 Platinum and fitted it with a large supercharger, bringing the performance total to the unbelievable 758 hp (565 kW) and 813 Nm (600 lbft) of torque. They paired it with a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. As a result, the car is now capable of sprinting 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.2 seconds.

Aside from the above, the tuned-up Ford F-150 received a lush body kit from the Ford Raptor, including aluminum skid plates, massive fenders, an enormous radiator grille, as well as a new hood and aprons. The car also gained an exclusive set of 18-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country tires, along with some suspension adjustments.

The entire package costs U.S. $38,000.
