New Beijing BJ212 spotted in camo

The next generation of the Beijing BJ212 SUV is getting ready for premiere, as evidenced by these spy shots made somewhere in China.

The disguised off-roader is expected to become larger and more spacious in its new generation, as well as switch from leaf-based to spring-based suspension. It also looks like it has a full-metal construction this time around. Compared to the current generation (see photos 4–8 and the video), it has LED headlights, but the wide front fenders, the body outlines and the spare wheel on the tailgate look the same as before.

It is still unclear what badge the car will wear to the market. It is currently being produced by the Beijing brand owned by BAIC, but its production and design are handled by a company called BAW, which received its independence from BAIC a few years ago.
