Lamborghini backpedals on its first super-EV
The squat and sporty Lamborghini Lanzador SUV previously introduced as a concept won’t be making an entrance until 2029, the company admits quoting electrification hurdles.
In an earlier announcement, Lambo said the Lanzador would be ready to rumble by 2028. However, after revising the company’s electrification strategy, CEO Stephan Winkelmann concluded that the market was “not yet ready for electric supercars like this.”
On an interesting side note, Ferrari is still on course to launching its first EV next year.
