Nissan rolls out a Nismo-tuned Armada

Following its debut in North America last fall, the new Nissan Armada a.k.a. Patrol has spawned an unlikely sports edition. The automaker’s Nismo division worked to make it look more aggressive, accelerate faster and sound louder thanks to a modified exhaust system. Dealerships will start taking deliveries this fall.

Starting with the 3.5-liter turbo V6 under the hood, it now churns out 466 PS (460 hp / 343 kW) instead of the usual 431 PS (425 hp / 317 kW). The torque likely stayed unchanged at 700 Nm (516 lb-ft); at any rate, it wasn’t mentioned in the announcement.

Power steering and adaptive air suspension were also improved for a more dynamic driving experience. Standard wheels made room for 22-inch forged rims wrapped in all-season tires.

On the exterior side of things, the Nismo Armada is quite a looker with its larger radiator grille, revised aero kit and lots of red accents all around, as well as special badges. The interior makes do with leather bucket seats, aluminum pedal pads and some limited-edition décor.

The dealerships are still offering MY2025 Nissan Armada in the United States. It starts from $57,529 before options. The Nismo version will arrive simultaneously with all other MY2026 vehicles this autumn, the company says.
