Check out a finely crafted wooden Ferrari 250 GTO replica

Vietnamese woodcarver and car aficionado Dao Truongvan became famous when he introduced the world to his Lamborghini Sian replica made out of wood, and he has now unveiled another stunning imitation – a Ferrari 250 GTO this time around.

The woodworker claims he spent 70 days making it, five more than it took him to complete the Sian. The car is fully drivable with wheels, shock absorbers, a low-end electric motor, and all the necessary controls. A welded frame supports a body made out of wood scraps and leftovers.

The replica may not be very fast, and the driving range leaves much to be desired, but Dao says this is all sidebar. What is important is the reactions of adults and children when they see a wooden car driven on public roads. We wouldn’t want to argue with that.

Watch the video for an overview of the project.
