This Ferrari Testarossa six-wheeler is weird even by SEMA standards

Alexandre Danton, a French-born artist, car technician and founder of the tuning shop Danton Arts Kustoms, announced working on a tri-axle Ferrari last year. Fast-forward nine months, and the 1,200-hp supercar is now almost ready to hit the streets.

Responsible for the high output is an LT4 V8 engine sourced from a Chevrolet and built by Katech Performance. The Italian coupe’s original V12 may be awesome, but it maxes out at less than one-third of the new engine’s power and torque. And while the bodywork is partially Ferrari, the chassis is completely new. Four out of the six wheels are driven.

The exterior looks ostentatiously rough and aggressive with its sharp lines and jutting corners. The profile view reveals a car that looks very bulky and not too graceful, but slammed suspension fixes that aspect somewhat. A complex diffuser with camo-green tailpipes rounds off the look at the back. If you compare the result with the early sketches, you should get distinct Mad Max vibes from both. It’s basically a supercar for the apocalypse – one with exceptionally well-paved roads, that is.

The six-wheeled Testarossa will make a live debut at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas in November.
