Infiniti has introduced the 2027 QX65, a new two-row mid-size luxury SUV with a fastback design. This model aims to compete with coupe-like SUVs such as the Audi Q8 and Genesis GV80 Coupe. The QX65's styling is reportedly inspired by the Infiniti FX, a model that contributed to the brand's growth in the early 2000s.
The QX65 shares its powertrain with the three-row QX60, featuring a 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. While Infiniti positions the QX65 as a sporty alternative, its performance is not as dynamic as its appearance suggests. The vehicle prioritizes a comfortable and quiet ride.
The interior of the QX65 largely mirrors that of the QX60, but with a two-row configuration. Passenger space in the first two rows is similar to the QX60, and it offers a decent-sized cargo area. Luxury features are extensive, with the top Autograph trim offering quilted leather upholstery and wood trim. The QX65 is rated for 20 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined, with a maximum towing capacity of 6000 pounds.
