New Opel Grandland gains a luxury AWD version

The second generation of the Opel Grandland will be available with two electric motors driving all four wheels when it goes on sale this fall.

The main motor at the front axle supplies 213 PS (210 hp / 157 kW). The rear motor contributes 112 PS (110 hp / 82 kW) of its own. The combined output comes to 325 PS (321 hp / 239 kW) and 509 Nm (375 lb-ft) of torque.

The battery pack holds 75 kilowatt-hours of charge and provides 501 km (311 miles) of WLTP-rated range. The new Grandland flagship sprints from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.1 seconds.

Prices are expected to start from an eyebrow-raising €60,000, making the EV Opel’s most expensive offering by far.
