Tuned Rolls-Royce Cullinan hits $550k, seller still walks away

An opulent Rolls-Royce Cullinan with only minor aftermarket modifications cropped up on sale at Bring a Trailer earlier this week. The bidding got to $555,551 and still somehow landed below reserve. What could be the owner’s expectations here, really? Let’s run the simple math.

According to the listing, this particular Cullinan was a model year 2026 vehicle and cost $441,550 to buy. Soon after the purchase, it was taken to a tuner and fitted with an Urban Automotive widebody kit, 30mm (1.2-inch) wheel spacers, and 24-inch forged rims. We were unable to find this particular kit featured by Urban Automotive on YouTube, but they seem to have produced another one this summer. You can check it out in the video above.

All in all, the owner claims he had spent $162,900 customizing his Cullinan after the purchase – enough to buy another supercar. He had also seemingly treated his $604,450 ride as an investment, keeping it in a garage with only 240 miles (386 killometers) on the odometer. Based on this info, you can see for yourself that the top bid amounted to whopping 92% of the car’s original value, including the combined costs of the tuning parts and their installation. That’s generally considered extremely good for someone else’s used ride, especially since most buyers in this price range are more likely to head directly to Rolls-Royce for theirs. Turning down an offer like this is, frankly, baffling to us. But do let us know if you disagree!

By the way, Carscoops chimes in to say that the Cullinan’s shrill orange interior could be what scared the bidders away. We concur. It’s unclear whether this Halloween-style trim was an OEM option or an aftermarket modification that somehow escaped being mentioned in the listing, but it certainly doesn’t look like something that belongs in an understated ultra-luxury vehicle.

Once again, feel free to tell us what you think.
