Kia Tasman could become an SUV

Kia has confirmed that it may eventually produce a body-on-frame off-roader based on the same chassis as its recent Tasman pickup (in the gallery and the video here).

The pickup would be primarily targeting the Australian market. It may be released over the next three years and become a competitor to the Ford Everest and Toyota Fortuner on the Southern Continent.

Whether or not it will be greenlit largely depends on the performance of the Tasman truck Down Under, Kia says. In other words, it remains to be seen.
