Mercedes-Benz GLC63 AMG (X 253) becomes sportier with air suspension

Back when Mercedes-Benz introduced the GLC range, it tried hard to assure us that the car was not yet another ‘soft-roader’, but rather a capable SUV worthy of standing next to the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Land Rover Discovery Sport. The illusion didn’t really hold for long, though, as we soon discovered the lack of such vital SUV components as the transfer case or the diff locks. Perhaps feeling the same way, the tuner team at AirBFT Australia decided to destroy what little the model still had in terms of cross-country potential and turn it into a veritable track tool instead.

During the upgrade process, the Mercedes-Benz GLC63 AMG (X 253) received air suspension based on AirBFT shocks, MasoAir components and an Accuair control module. With the ride height as low as possible, the GLC almost looks like a purebred sports car, and when you lift it all the way up it can maybe conquer a hillock or two.

On the outside, the crossover sports yellow brake calipers, a roof box, a front spoiler lip made of carbon, and multi-piece forged aluminum wheels with a plethora of spokes.

AirBFT Australia did not mention any of the costs involved.
