Ken Block’s Hoonitruck crosses auction block

The impending Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona will feature one of the most famous and iconic trucks of our time: the legendary Hoonitruck, once driven by the late stunt and rally legend Ken Block. There are no price estimates.

It’s technically a Ford F-150 under all the mascara, but very little about the truck is OEM. The chassis, the massive fender flares, the bed with a spoiler on the tailgate – it’s all new and custom-fabricated stuff. A set of Fifteen52 wheels featuring actual beadlock protection complements the sporty image.

As Block said himself, the engine for the Hoonitruck was sourced from an earlier Ford GT supercar prototype. It’s a unique block that works in tandem with a sequential transmission and all-wheel-drive system. Some reports place the output close to 927 PS (914 hp / 682 kW).

Having debuted five years ago, the Hoonitruck took part in the tenth installment of Gymkhana. Block also drifted it to the pinnacle of Tianmen Mountain in China.

The sales will begin on January 18th and will close on the 26th. Bids will be taken from both offline and online participants.
