Brabus Smart #5 is the biggest and the baddest Smart ever

German tuner Brabus has worked its magic on the Smart #5, ensuring that the electric SUV has an exterior that corresponds to its performance.

The EV packs dual e-motors outputting a combined 646 PS (637 hp / 475 kW) and 710 Nm (524 lb-ft) of torque. It can sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and covers up to 540 km (335 miles) per charge, WLTP-rated. The 100-kWh battery pack on board takes only 18 minutes to top up from 10 to 80% thanks to an 800-volt power architecture.

As wild as those numbers sound for a Smart, they aren’t unique. The 368,000-Yuan Smart #5 Jungle Realm spec already available in China actually has the same specs. The Brabus version has a few things going for it, though, one of them being a limited edition.

Another important addition comes in the shape of a new drive preset called Brabus. It doesn’t alter any dynamic settings, but turns on a particularly loud “engine” soundtrack for a sportier feel. Further touches from the German tuner include 21-inch wheels, a pronounced rear spoiler and red/black exterior accents. The cabin makes do with a premium trim and accents, while the rest stays stock. This still implies three displays, a 20-Speaker Sennheiser audio system, ventilated seats, panoramic roof and ambient lighting included as standard.
