Car Tuning
Potomac Classics has used the IAA Frankfurt show as an opportunity to sell a one-off vehicle, specifically, this Rinspeed Yello Talbo modeled after the 1938 Talbot-Lago 150 SS, a pre-WWII French sports coupe designed by Figoni & Falaschi.
Swedish car company Rinspeed developed the Yello Talbo from scratch in 1996. Despite being 23 years old, the ride actually packs some tech that looks good even by modern standards. This includes the five-liter supercharged V8, the BMW Z4 sDrive30i-grade automatic transmission, and the Eibach suspension. Equipped like this, the car has no trouble hitting 100 km/h from standing still in just 5.5 seconds.
Other noteworthy features of the Rinspeed Yello Talbo include 20-inch BBS RS-II wheels and an interior draped in blue leather. There is no modern multimedia system inside, unless you count that Pioneer stereo. However, a pleasant surprise lies hidden in the steering wheel. There is a watch slotted into the center hub of the wheel that you can pull out, use as a wristwatch and then put back in.
The asking price is €125,000.
