Jeremy Clarkson’s Ferrari F355 GTS goes on sale for est. £0.2M

A Ferrari F355 GTS given the nickname “Fezza” by its buyer and original owner, Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, will cross the auction block in the UK in early July. With around 24,000 km (15,000 miles) under its belt after 29 years, the car is expected to fetch between £180,000 and £220,000.

The listing claims that Clarkson believed the F355 to be “the world’s greatest car” back in the mid-90s. He originally ordered it for some tests via a UK-based authorized dealer, optioning it with an iconic red exterior and a cabin trimmed with red and cream-tinted leather. He also didn’t spare the extra expense for the bucket seats, now considered a rare OEM option.

After a while, Clarkson announced a lottery to get rid of the car in his Sunday Times column. It proceeded to change hands multiple times after that, but the current owner and seller has held on to it for 12 years. The listing emphasizes that the entire background of the car, down from the ordering day, has been documented and is available for review.

Back in its glory days, the Ferrari F355 shipped with a 3.5-liter V8 rated at 380 PS (375 hp / 279 kW). This particular example was fitted with a six-speed manual transmission, so it sprinted from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.7 seconds and could reach 295 km/h (183 mph).
