Ever dreamt of a €1,100 air vent lighting kit for your G-Class?

Quality in-car lighting is an important design consideration, but who would ever want their air vents to glow in the dark? Schawe Car Design believes it is an option you never knew you needed.

The shipment package includes four plastic air duct inserts along with the LEDs and the wiring, which are meant to replace the OEM vents of your Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Once installed, you get quick access to the light settings via the infotainment system (various intensity levels and 64 colors to choose from). All 2018 model year and newer G-Wagons are supported, from the G350d to the top-of-the-line AMG G63.

The kit costs €1,100 in Germany, plus €400 for installation. This sounds like a steal compared to the €100k-150k sticker price of the new G-Class, but the DIY crowd will argue that a mod like this is not that hard to make yourself at a small fraction of the price.
