Dodge Charger EV pricing announced

Right before approving the new all-electric Charger Daytona into production, Dodge revealed that it would cost from $61,950 in the United States, or roughly $20,000 more than the base price of the retired Challenger. There is a $7,500 state tax incentive, but whether it applies to the new Charger is unclear.

Advertised by the company as the “world’s first and only electric muscle car and the brand’s first multi-energy muscle car”, the new Charger will eventually also ship in an affordable R/T spec rated at 503 PS (496 hp / 370 kW) and 548 Nm (404 lb-ft) of torque. The range-topping Scat Pack will ship with a Stage 2 upgrade preinstalled at the factory, giving it 680 PS (670 hp / 500 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. It wil start from $75,185.

The flagship version will sprint 0-96.6 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.3 seconds and run a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, both numbers that the company calls “record-breaking” for mass-produced muscle cars. Brembo brakes, adaptive shocks, sport seats and a dash cam are all included as standard.

Pricing is already available for a number of option packages. For example, there will be a $4,995 Plus Group package with surround-view cameras, some quality cabin trim and 20-inch wheels instead of the standard 18-inch rollers. There is also a $2,495 Sun&Sound package adding a panoramic roof and an Alpine audio system.
