Cadillac CTS-V racecar conversion sells for $120k

A rear-wheel-drive Cadillac CTS-V turned into a track tool went up on sale in the USA earlier this month. If the reports are correct, it was one out of a dozen or so examples built by Pratt & Miller.

Despite not being street-legal, the sedan looks like it could be. It does wear a fairly aggressive body kit with low-slung skirts and a giant rear wing, and has an eye-catching red, black and white wrap to show for being special.

The power is sourced from a six-liter LS2 V8 driving the rear wheels with 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and 583 Nm (430 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is five-speed manual, and the clutch has been recently replaced, according to the seller.

The interior is as bare as you’d expect from a track tool – and then some. There’s hardly any noise proofing, and the rear seats are gone, making room for an impressive roll cage. In other words, it’s an SCCA racer through and through.

We’d normally expect this CTS-V to sell close to $50,000, but someone was generous enough to hand over $120,000 for it this Monday.
