Alpina B8 GT pays homage to the tuner’s roots

The iconic German tuning company has unveiled the B8 GT, a particularly hardcore sedan dedicated to its founder, Burkard Bovensiepen, who passed away in 2023. Only 99 units will be made and offered starting from €225,000.

A standard 4.4-liter BMW V8 can be expected to output 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 750 Nm (552 lb-ft) of torque straight from the factory. Alpina boosts it to 621 PS (613 hp / 457 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque for its normal B8 model.

The GT version gets an even bigger power bump, ending up with 634 PS (625 hp / 466 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). It concludes the standard sprint in 3.3 seconds and can attain a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

On the outside, you will recognize the GT by its markedly aggressive body kit with plentiful carbon details and 21-inch Alpina Classic wheels shod in Pirelli P Zeros. The interior can be optioned with a variety of leather and Alcantara combinations. Regardless of your choice, Alpina will put Bovensiepen’s signature on the seat backs, the center console and the illuminated scuff plates.
