Car Tuning

Bentley’s first Mulliner-tuned Continental GTC sells for $1.7M

An auction in Naples saw the first Continental GTC Speed convertible ever produced go for U.S. $1.7 million – far more than the base price of around $300,000.

The car was upgraded at Mulliner. Working with a standard spec (see video), the in-house customizer finished the exterior in an exclusive shade of purple called Damson. A dark grey cloth top and dark chrome accents all around complemented the main color nicely. Bentley says this color theme is unique and designed specifically for the auction car.

The interior received a predominantly white trim with body-matching Damson Purple accents. The same color was even applied to the normally unpainted wood veneers on the dashboard and the transmission tunnel, lending the car a true touch of individuality. And the reason? The first Continental GTC produced in 2025 celebrates the Naples Winter Wine Festival, hence all the wine color cues. You can see the logo of the festival on the kick plates.

Along with the car, the winning bidder received a V.I.P. ticket to the Monterey Car Week in August, including prepaid accommodation in a luxury hotel, tickets to the main events of the auto show and an invitation to a private dinner hosted by Bentley.
