Rivian reveals R1T interior in detail

The all-electric Rivian R1T pickup is set to ship next month, and the manufacturer turns up the heat by showing us the luxurious cabin of the truck.

The main feature Rivian focuses on is the abundance of all sorts of storage pockets and niches in addition to a huge front trunk and a conventional truck bed. This is not surprising, because the model has been strongly marketed as an EV for adventure lovers – in other words, people who need to carry along plenty of stuff and enough room to store it.

There is a niche for miscellaneous items right under the central display, and a whole storage box under the rear bench. Modest-sized drawers exist under the driver’s and the passenger’s seats. There are as many as four cup holders, and bottle holders are present on every door.

Practicality is another major point of the R1T interior design: the trim materials have been chosen so as to be resistant to all kinds of dirt, Rivian claims.
