Check out a fashionable Mini restomod from a Jaguar ex-designer

Ian Callum, a car designer most famous for working on the Jaguar F-Type, Aston Martin DB7 and other instant classics, has unveiled his latest project: a fully restored and beautified Mini Mk5 Sports Pack. The production of that car ended in 2001, making it an attractive investment for those who can afford the overhaul.

The project was carried out in collaboration with Wood and Pickett. The Mini ended up with sleek redesigned bumpers, LED lights all around and unique 13-inch alloy wheels. Their cool Anthracite Metal finish creates a nice juxtaposition against the warmer brown body color.

The stock 1.3-liter engine received a Stage 3 treatment, landing with new cylinder heads, injection system and control hardware. As a result, it has almost doubled its output, sending 112 PS (110 hp / 82 kW) to the rear wheels through an upgraded manual transmission. A dual exhaust system lends it a juicier tone.

A fully restored Mini like this comes with a completely bespoke interior and costs from £75,000 in the UK. That’s approximately $102,000 in American money. The quantity is strictly limited, so get your order in early if interested.
