Toyota Sienna will remind you about kids or pets left in the car

Toyota has complemented its 2025 Sienna offering with a handful of human-friendly options.

The most advertised novelty is a notification system warning owners about children or pets left inside the car for a prolonged period of time. It uses a ceiling-mounted 60Hz radar to scan the back seats whenever the doors are closed. If it detects any motion, it will emit nine warning sounds. It will proceed to emit a louder horn sound in 90 seconds and send a text message to the owner’s phone in four minutes. If everything else fails, it will call the owner in two more minutes to remind them about the kids (or pets) in the car.

Moving forward, Toyota plans to implement this feature in a large number of other cars, not just the Sienna.
