Toyota bZ3X specs leak online

While Toyota is getting ready to introduce its all-electric mid-size bZ3X SUV in China, the local Ministry of Industry has already posted its first photos and specifications.

AutoHome.cn believes that the car will celebrate its debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show later this November. It also predicts that the base trim level will cost less than 200,000 Yuan.

The car premiered as the bZ FlexSpace Concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in spring 2023. A production-ready example of it, called the bZ3X, showed up at the Beijing show earlier this year. Toyota never revealed any technical specifications, so let’s take a look at the patent data.

According to the images, the final version of the car looks exactly as previewed in Beijing except for the 19-inch wheels. It is sized 4,600 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall with 2,765 mm between the axles. A single e-motor drives the front wheels with 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW). With a curb weight of just 1,760 kilos (3,880 lbs), the EV can attain a top speed of 160 km/h (100 mph).

The interior remains to be shown, but if the Beijing show car is any indication, it will feature two separate displays for the dash gauges and the infotainment UI. A two-level center console had two charging pads for smartphones and a pair of cupholders. There were nearly no physical buttons anywhere in sight.

On the technical side of things, it looks like the bZ3X is coming with a wide assortment of driving aids summing up to a Level 2+ autonomous system. It runs on an Nvidia chipset with 254 TOPS of performance and comprises up to 29 different sensors, including a LiDAR.
