Aston Martin Vantage Roadster announced

The open-top version of the Aston Martin Vantage will go on sale in the second quarter of 2025 featuring a soft top that folds automatically in class-leading 6.8 seconds. All pricing is pending.

The Vantage Roadster benefits from all the design tweaks that the base grand tourer received in a facelift in early 2024. Its Z-shaped top folding mechanism is light and efficient, only adding 60 kilos (132 pounds) to the total weight of the car. Layered cloth ensures proper noise insulation with the top raised – it’s almost as quiet as the coupe version, Aston Martin claims. You can use a button on your key fob or a dedicated button inside the car to raise or lower the top, just as long as you aren’t driving above 50 km/h (31 mph).

Rear shock absorbers had to be recalibrated for optimal performance with the added weight and other structural tweaks, like new gearbox mounting points. Customers may choose from four roof colors including black, red, blue, and black/silver. Some roadster-exclusive exterior paint jobs are also available.

Things stay the same under the hood. A standard 4.0-liter V8 delivers 665 PS (656 hp / 489 kW) alongside 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels via an 8AT and an electronic diff lock. Outfitted like this, the Vantage Roadster can sprint 0-96.6 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.5 seconds and ultimately reach 325 km/h (202 mph). That’s the same top speed as the coupe with a sprint time one-tenth of a second slower.
