Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG challenges Suzuki Jimny to an off-road duel

The latest Suzuki Jimny looks sufficiently like a miniature copy of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class to prompt numerous tuners to release G-Class styling kits for it. Well, it seems like the G-Wagon took offense and called for a big showdown.

The first duel took place on an asphalt road. Predictably enough, the Suzuki’s 1.5 liters of displacement, 102 hp (76 kW) and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) of torque couldn’t hold a candle to G’s four liters, eight cylinders and 585 hp (436 kW) with 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). But when it came to an off-road test, the Jimny more than proved its worth by mostly staying level with the formidable German SUV.

Oh, and if that isn’t impressive enough for you, consider that the Suzuki is 10 times as cheap as the G63 AMG.
