Toyota teases 3 new EVs

The Japanese automotive giant has plans for at least three more electric vehicles before 2027.

There are no details at this point, but the teaser pic posted by the company suggests that two SUVs and a pickup truck will be joining Toyota’s EV lineup in 2025–2026. At least two of them will likely be based on the EPU Concept and Land Cruiser Se Concept seen in the gallery and the video here. Both debuted two years ago.

The company also admitted that its recent alphanumeric naming scheme had proven unpopular with the customers. Case in point: bZ4X, a name that’s tricky to type and a mouthful to pronounce. Moving forward, Toyota will be giving its EVs “reasonable and nice-sounding” names.
