The latest video showing Russia’s first all-electric vehicle – the Zetta – has popped up online, detailing the entire creative and technological process from early sketches and computer modeling through prototyping the first chassis and body to live driving tests.
Based on the early images, it looks like the design team had quite a different vision of the urban supermini car in the beginning. More specifically, the project leaned much towards Smart in terms of styling and body curves.
The footage also explains the principles behind the Duyunov Wheel Motor, which produces up to 98 PS (72 kW). Finally, it provides a peek inside the interior of the car, dominated by a tablet-like infotainment unit and sporting a dedicated niche for wireless charging.
The Zetta should hit mass production by the end of the year, and test assembly is already underway.
