Chelsea Truck reveals luxurious take on the Land Rover Defender

While Land Rover is working on the next generation of Defender SUVs, tuners come up with their own variants thereof. For one, Chelsea Truck has recently unveiled an unlikely luxury modification of the Defender.

The car gained a Wide Track body kit consisting of a front bumper with built-in headlights and skid plate, massive front and rear fenders, and a set of black 20-inch wheels. The radiator grille has also been painted black to match.

The restyled Land Rover Defender sports a greenish-grey Volcanic Mist Satin paintjob and has a spacious roof rack, a ladder for easy roof access, and a stylish spare wheel cover.

Despite all the exterior goodness, it is the interior that really astonishes the observer. Tinted windows conceal hi-end GTB sport seats with enhanced ergonomics, wrapped in black perforated leather upholstery. The same material is used for the dashboard, the glove compartment, the armrest, the doors and even the ceiling.

The car also houses an Afzal Kahn-branded steering wheel, Churchill time clock and pedals with aluminum pads.

From the mechanical perspective, Chelsea Truck has upgraded the shock absorbers, raised the suspension and installed a hi-end exhaust system. No engine modifications were made.

The tuned-up Land Rover Defender sells for U.S. $78,600.
