Li i8 shows up ahead of premiere

Lixiang a.k.a. Li Auto has posted the first images of its upcoming all-electric SUV, the i8. It will be the first crossover ever to wear the Li badge, so let’s take a closer look.

The images show the new i8 standing between the company’s Mega MPV and L9 hybrid SUV. According to earlier rumors, it may be based on the same powertrain as the Mega, which comprises two e-motors and outputs 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW). If it also inherits the minivan’s battery pack rated at 102.7 kilowatt-hours, it should end up with plenty of range.

AutoHome.cn believes that the Li i8 may go on sale in China in the first half of the year.
