Mengshi M817 debuts with Gen.4 connected services

Dongfeng has unveiled the latest entry in its Mengshi vehicle lineup, an off-road-capable SUV called the M817.

It comes with a fourth-generation Qiankun ADAS package from Huawei. This implies that the vehicle comes from the factory already equipped with the numerous hardware components, as well as software and cloud-based services to enable semi-autonomous driving.

The exterior looks like that of any other Mengshi, with only minor differences. For one, there is a trapezoid front fascia surrounded by LEDs, a mildly revised rear end with X-shaped taillights, and a luggage box where the spare wheel holder usually resides. An expedition rack with a handy access ladder is included as standard.
