Greek tuner claims 600+ HP in Mercedes-AMG A45

A few days ago, a tuner firm from Greece allegedly managed to boost a previous-gen Mercedes-AMG A45 to over 600 horsepower. The car left the garage equipped with a massive Garrett turbocharger, a new exhaust manifold, and tweaked engine control software.

On the video here, you can see the Mercedes-AMG A45 displaying 545 hp (406 kW) and 634 Nm (468 lbft) of torque on the dynamometer. The company claims that the car makes considerably more than 600 hp / 450 kW when in its “full boost” mode, but we are yet to see a confirmation.

Towards the end of the video, you can see the sporty vehicle accelerate all the way up to 300 km/h (186.4 mph). But is this kind of achievement praiseworthy? That depends. From what there is to see, the team chose a public highway to try out their tuned ride, an action as illegal as it is simply irresponsible.
