BMW 4 Gran Coupe never looked so (DT)M before

Do the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe (F36) and the range-topping M4 GTS have much in common? Not really. The M packs a high-end dual-turbo engine, launches like a bullet, and handles way differently from the Gran Coupe. But the two look sort of similar – and this proved enough for Latvian tuner ProTuning.lv to start this project.

The team kicked things off with the most obvious step: outfitting the coupe in the full BMW M Performance kit, including the front apron and spoiler, the side skirts, and the rear diffuser, among other things. This made it look ever-so-slightly like the M4, but still not quite. This is why they followed up with adding an unusually tall rear wing to the mix, reminiscent of those often seen in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) racing series. To further the similarity, they wrapped the body of the Gran Coupe in the signature yellow livery of Timo Glock, professional DTM driver.

Rounding off the impressive project are black forged wheels with a dual-five-spoke design and a performance exhaust system with quad tailpipes and V8 sound imitation feature.
