BMW M celebrates fifty years in business with a new logo and paint options

The M division of BMW will be celebrating its 50th birthday in half a year, and we already know what bonuses the buyers of M vehicles will be getting with their purchases next year.

All those who buy a BMW M or even an M Sport car from January 2021 will be able to request a new brand logo design: a smaller BMW circle surrounded by blue, red and light blue semicircles against a white background. These will be found on the front and the rear clip, as well as on all four hubcaps. The production will begin in March.

Additionally, all M cars will become available in 50 new paint schemes paying homage to important BMW M liveries of the past. Notable examples include Dakar Yellow, Daytona Violet, Fire Orange, Frozen Marina Bay Blue, Imola Red, and Macao Blue.

In related news, the company is getting ready to reveal a full-size SUV named the BMW XM (watch the video). It will be the first production car to ship exclusively in M form. Rumor has it that it will debut in several days with a part-electric powertrain capable of 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW).
